Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Electronic Engineering Technician at Quanttronix in Canton, MI. The Electronic Engineering Technician will be responsible for tasks such as soldering, crimping, assembling, troubleshooting, using test equipment, and applying electronics technology in the manufacturing processes.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for quality control and testing of electro-mechanical assemblies and components using production test rigs, while maintaining process documentation
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with electronics, including exposure to PCBs
Test and troubleshoot electro-mechanical assemblies and components
Evaluate the quality of incoming electrical and electro-mechanical components
Conduct tests on final products and identify causes of reported failures
Assemble, maintain, and repair production test rigs
Interpret technical schematics and diagrams
Perform diagnostic tests to assess electronic component functionality
Assist in the development of basic electrical components or prototypes, as needed
Maintain accurate records and documentation for certifications and processes
Create instructional materials and provide training on electronic repairs
Support process improvement initiatives and assist with troubleshooting

Your profile

Required Qualifications:

– Electronic Engineering and Electronics Technology skills
– Soldering – general and fine pitch SMT and Troubleshooting abilities
– Experience with Test Equipment
– Knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly processes
– Knowledge of Wire Harness assembly processes (Build to print)
– Knowledge of Electrical Enclosure process
– Ability to read and build to print
– Excellent problem-solving skills
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment
– Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
– Able to work in a fast pace environment
– Able to learn and use software features and tooling
– Must know how to solder (PCB & Wire Harness)
– Must know how to Crimp and assemble
